Haden - a young holy warrior with amazing skills with the blade.

Darius - a mage who reacts painfully to magic, and has great skills in negating it.

Saint Sariah - one of the Blessed, who watches over and gives advice to the heroes.

What has gone before:

The Meeting

Seven people of destiny came together in the port town of Ambreth. As they drifted together, they recognized each other from dreams all of them have been having all of their lives. Saint Sariah appears to them and tells them they are prophesied heroes, and gives them a number of gifts.

The next day our heroes were having dinner together for the first time, and were attacked by the Scorpion Clan, an assassin's guild. The cowardly attack was fought off, and the heroes learned that the local cell had taken a contract for two of their member, and any companions. The heroes find that the local clan is based in the tunnels under Lord Lyrhian.

After some discussion, a plan is decided upon. The Lightbearer Haden makes his way to the Dukes court, to challenge the Lord and inform him of the dastardly doings under his keep. The Lord, acting surprised and worried, sends word to his keep. The Duke arranges a guide and the Heroes follows quickly on the heels of the messenger.

The assault on the Scorpion clan is successful, with only a few escaping, but those being the leaders. They have fled to Harvent another local town, to enlist the help of another clan of the Scorpions. However, the man that was to be the formal contact was captured, and Billy is chosen to go in his place. The Heroes get to the town, and spread about gathering information. Billy makes contact with Elenara, a contact with Harvent's Scorpion clan, and a beautiful woman who talks low, and flirts shamelessly. As they decide what exactly to do, the local church makes contact with Haden, there being a problem at the graveyard. The heroes rush there, to find a necromancer and 4 skeletons. They are dispatched handily, and the necromancer is recognized as Skorta, a companion to Dererath, the fled head of the Scorpion clan of Ambreth.

As the time for the meet between Billy, Skorta, Elenara, and the head of the Harvent's Scorpions. The heroes get there early, and upon seeing the targets of the assassination, Skorta summons a demon. Elenara is confused thinking that Billy is part of the Scorpion clan, but is quickly cleared of that notion. A fight between the two sides break out, with Haden going strait for the demon, whom he injures mightily before taking a powerful strike that lays him low. Darius and Skarri deal with the mage, while the rest of the team take out the other. After the fight, they find, from the dieing embers of the mind of Skorta that the demon he summoned took the contract, specifically on Haden and Bo.

The heroes let the local constabulary know of the events, and make their way onto their next adventure.
